On behalf of a great man
Who put down his foot
And took a brave stand
He fought for the rights of many
He said no more segregation
He wanted blacks and whites together
He wanted a unified nation
Never did he give up
He protested through the streets
When he made it to capital hill
He shouted "I have a dream"
A dream that went down in the books
A dream that changed you and me
A dream that came true
A dream that made history
